Walking Through Life: Foster Care

Walking Through Life: Foster Care

Produced by Volunteer Producer, Linda Carbino

“This is a really informative show. Over the past few years the Hartford District has seen an increase in the number of children in need of foster care, but the number of foster parents has not increased to meet that need. DCF’s Deanna Rounds goes into great detail about foster parent qualifications, the licensing process, resources for foster parents, and how you can still help if foster parenting isn’t for you. Also, the show’s host, Linda Carbino, brings an important perspective having been in the foster care system; she relates the positive impact it had on her life.” -Kirsten Arnesen-Trunzo
