NEW! CATV Virtual Poetry Fest

April is National Poetry Month. With spring soon to bloom, let’s celebrate our humanity and
get our poetry on LOUD and PROUD in CATV’s first-ever Virtual Poetry Fest.

How to Join the Fun:

Video record yourself reciting a poem and send it to info@uvjam.org by April 20. CATV will compile and air all entries on local cable television and on CATV’s internet outlets at the end of April.

A Few Poetic Details

  • Poems may either be by you or other authors.
  • Videos are large files and often cannot be sent by email. If, however, you have access to a Cloud sharing system such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Apple iCloud Drive, or Amazon WorkDocs, submitting your entry should be easy.
  • If you are a minor, you need permission from a parent or guardian for CATV to air your poem. Really. If you send your video, CATV will presume you have parental permission to air your likeness and voice on local cable television and on the internet through www.uvjam.org and CATV’s YouTube channel.
  • Entries must include your name, age, and the town where you live. This information will not be published.
  • Group Recitals: If you and your friends tackle a LONG poem with each of you reciting individual stanzas and plan to submit individual videos, tell us the order in which stanza should appear when we compile the stanzas.

And remember: Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree…

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and we are hunkering down to avoid virus blues. 🙂
