We Did It

Imagine a place in the heart of the Upper Valley where you can go for a few hours on a weekend and try out animation, learn video editing, or check out camera or podcast equipment entirely free.  Or, imagine you’re waiting for a table at a local restaurant, and instead of handing your kid your smartphone, you take them next door to enjoy an interactive media arts activity together. Or, perhaps you’re a teen or young adult on a Saturday night – imagine a public place you can go to watch your friend’s band play or find community at a queer movie night, all for $0.  Administered by CATV, the Upper Valley’s public access media community, JAM will embrace our evolving media technology and culture to harness the positive potential of the media arts to build bridges of empathy and strengthen our community bonds.

YOU helped CATV meet our Vermont Better Places incentive program match goal to unlock a 2:1 matching grant, TRIPLING every dollar the community gave!   Come JAM with us as we create our new inclusive home for media arts in the Upper Valley this fall!

In partnership with WRIF (White River Indie Films), Here in the Valley (HiTV) productions, the Center for Cartoon Studies, Upper Valley Music Center, and many other Upper Valley media arts organizations and artist partners, JAM will be a home for everyone to experience video art installations, community art activities, media arts workshops, live performances, activism, and pop-up outdoor film and music events that enable us to learn from one another, give voice to diverse perspectives, and celebrate our community together.
